More than 6,000 US flights delayed Sunday as major storm system hampers travel

Oh yeah traveling is getting more frustrating. Thanks. Captain obvious Jeff. In fact the Department of Transportation says complaints are up 320%. So it’s not just you. Most of those complaints are about flight delays and cancelations. Obviously I have no control over those but I can make it easier to travel when it happened. So I’m testing out some of the coolest apps that will do just that and save you money the best part. They’re all free. I’m going on *** trip first up before I even leave for the airport I can find *** cheap parking spot to leave my car with this app called best parking. Okay let me show you how this works. Come on in here. It’s that app right there. The blue one. Best parking. Okay So you click into the app and it actually asks you what airport you’re going to write. So I’m choosing the Orlando airport you choose when you’re going right I’m gonna go I don’t know here and I’m gonna stay for *** few days and I put in when I’m arriving it’s gonna automatically look for the cheapest parking lots right in the area. So these gray ones. Yeah that’s what you’ll pay for the for the whole stay. The blue ones are ones that are working with the app and you can actually get better rates there and you can book right here. Okay but wait until you see this one I’m parked now and through airport security this app called grab order. Airport food says you don’t have to waste time waiting in line. Okay this one is really cool. Let me show you how this works. I’m at my gate right now at the Atlanta airport. You know how your kids are? They’re like we want food or you just want food, but you’re like, what’s around? I don’t know. So let me show you how this works. Go into the app store and you want to type, you know, grab, right that’s name, but grab and you’re looking for that logo right there, download that so automatically it knows them in Atlanta and it’s found the food places right near me and I love auntie and so I’m going to go into Auntie Anne’s and I’m going to order some pretzels from pretzel snacks. Get in there, done no special requests added to the card, my credit cards already in here and come on in. Boom. There it is. 5-10 minutes from now, it’ll be ready. I’m gonna place the order. Let’s see if it works within minutes. I get an alert that my order is ready so I walk over. Okay, we’re here. It says that I can skip the line. I don’t have to wait in line. So let’s see order for Jeff on the app right here. Thank you so much. I’m good thank you so much, yep, thank you. Sorry, should use the grab app but we’re saving the best for last long layover. This app called day use is perfect for that. We’ve all seen that video when people are delayed or canceled at the airport and they end up sleeping on the floor of the airport, you’re like, oh man, wouldn’t it be great if you can go somewhere and like sleep in *** hotel for *** few hours for your layover. So that’s the idea behind this app, right? That you can rent out hotel rooms during the day for *** period of hours at like 75% off the overnight price. So come on in. This is the name of the app right here. Aptly named Day use if you click on it, it knows where you are and you look around at the participating hotels. Let’s see this one right here. It says 70 bucks. So there’s *** $70.01 click on that. You can choose the day you want, whatever. Look at that from nine AM to five PM $70 *** queen room, three PM to 10 PM $75. And the choices go on. So instead of sleeping in the airport you can come here, you can take *** nap, you can swim in the pool, you can take *** shower and it’s pretty cheap by the way we found even more travel apps that are pretty cool. So I’m gonna collect them all and create *** list called the Rawson reports. Top 10 travel apps, you can find it nice and easy on my website right now. Rawson reports dot com back to you
