Haden Merkel of Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics recently visited with DRG Media Group in Mobridge about the current expansion and renovation project at the hospital and the Healthy Futures Capital Campaign. Merkel talked about the goal of the campaign.
Merkel talked about what people can expect to see when the project is complete.
Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics is celebrating 65 years of serving the community, and Merkel says this project will bring needed upgrades.
Regarding the price tag of the project, Merkel says costs have increased due to supply chain issues, hyper-inflation and staffing challenges in several sectors, including construction, so they are asking for the community’s help.
Merkel says over half of the goal has been raised because of the community’s commitment to seeing the project succeed. The Mobridge Regional Healthcare Foundation hosted a Great Gatsby Gala event earlier this year, and a golf tournament is planned for Saturday, September 7th, at the Oahe Hills Golf Course.
