Milwaukee, Wis – MKE Black Inc. announced an interim executive director, Ayrton Bryan, effective June 1.

Bryan will lead the board as its volunteer president. Joined by fellow board members Rick Banks and Paul Wellington and numerous volunteers, the team has begun a strategy and planning process to sustain the growth of the organization and hire its first staff team.

“I’m so excited about the future of MKE Black,” said Bryan. “We have an incredible opportunity to be a catalyst for Black excellence and progress. The Black business community in Milwaukee is growing and will benefit from the additional programs and services MKE Black will offer in the months ahead,”

Board secretary/treasurer Rick Banks added “Knowing the skills of our team and the changing needs of the organization, I think this will be a good transition and I look forward to serving the organization and spearheading our efforts to expand the mobile app.”

MKE Black provides a directory of 600+ Black owned businesses in greater Milwaukee, while connecting businesses to resources, planning and networks for success.

Funds raised will allow MKE Black to provide additional support to member businesses, engage volunteers and the community in continuing to make them successful, and allow the organization to grow programming to better support the needs of the Black community.
