Miss Mississippi 2021 Holly Brand will relinquish her crown and a new Miss Mississippi will be crowned during Saturday’s final night of the Miss Mississippi competition that gets underway Wednesday.
Preliminary competitions continue through the week and culminate Saturday night at the Vicksburg Convention Center in Vicksburg, 1600 Dr. Briggs Hopson Blvd., Vicksburg.
Reigning Miss Mississippi Brand of Meridian is a University of Alabama graduate whose initiative helped deliver care packages to immuno-compromised people in Mississippi during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brand went on to compete in the Miss America Pageant and earned a $1,000 scholarship as a non-finalist winner.
This year’s Miss Mississippi winner also will represent the state at the next Miss America competition, for which a date has not yet been set.

This year’s Miss Mississippi competitions will be streamed live Wednesday through Saturday nights at missmisslive.com.
Tickets to live streams of the Miss Mississippi 2022 competitions vary in cost by night:
- Preliminary rounds: 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday stream for $20 per night
- Crowning of Miss Mississippi: 8 p.m. Saturday streams for $35
- An all-access package to streaming all the night’s competitions is available for $82
- Miss Mississippi final night will be aired locally in the Jackson area on WLBT-TV at 8 p.m. Saturday
Other events associated with Miss Mississippi 2022 competition
- Although competition does not begin until Wednesday night, Miss Mississippi events kick off at 7 p.m. Monday with the 2022 Miss Mississippi Parade & Autograph Party starting at Clay Street and Mulberry in Vicksburg.
- Other associated events through the week include a 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday autograph party at George Carr Auto in Vicksburg, a 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday autograph party at the shops of downtown Vicksburg and a Friday exclusive Kendra Scott Pop Up Shop at the Vicksburg Convention Center.
How much Miss Mississippi 2022 live competition tickets cost
Preliminary rounds take place Wednesday through Friday. Contestants will be split into three groups and each group will compete in one contest every night beginning at 7 p.m. Contests include talent, evening wear and interview.
- Live tickets on Wednesday and Thursday nights: $30
- Live tickets on Friday night: $40
- Crowning of Miss Mississippi 2021: The winner will be crowned Saturday at the Vicksburg Convention Center. The final round will begin at 8 p.m.
- Live tickets on Saturday night: $50
