SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Major League Baseball has announced it will be producing and distributing Minnesota Twins games for the 2025 season.

The Minnesota Twins announced in a press release Tuesday the new arrangement will “give fans more options to watch their favorite teams on television or to stream digitally.”

MLB says the Twins’ 2024 season, which used regional sports network Bally Sports North, owned by Diamond Sports Group, reached roughly 1.08 million homes. With MLB’s direct-to-consumer streaming option, that number will expand to roughly 4.40 million homes.

Last year, a dispute between Diamond Sports Group and Midco led to many people not being able to watch the team on TV. Midco offered a $4 credit for Midco billing statements after the dispute started May 1.

In a map posted on social media, the Twins said TwinsTV will be available via cable, satellite and streaming in-market.

MLB says that the Twins will be similar to how other teams such as the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, and San Diego Padres distributed games during the 2024 season. During the 2024 season, MLB was able to negotiate cable and satellite distribution agreements and made direct-to-consumer streaming options available at Dbacks.TV, Padres.TV, and Rockies.TV.

MLB says more information on where and how fans can watch the 2025 season will be available closer to when the season starts.
