MARTINSVILLE, Ind. — A man has been arrested following a shooting in Martinsville Saturday night that left a teenager in critical condition and a man in stable condition.

Per a press release, the Martinsville Police Department, alongside Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies, responded to a report of a person shot in the area South Home Avenue and East South Road around 11:53 p.m. Upon arrival, police located two victims — an adult male and a teenage male, each with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

The officers provided aid to the victims until Morgan County EMS arrived on scene. Both victims were transported to an area hospital. The man in stable condition was transported via ambulance, and the teenager in critical condition was airlifted.

Martinsville PD indicated that they were quickly able to identify and arrest a suspect who was allegedly involved in the shooting. The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Damien Hines of Martinsville. As of this article’s publication, a mugshot for Hines had not been released.

During police’s investigation, a male juvenile was also identified to be a victim of the shooting. Because the juvenile only sustained minor injuries, they were not taken to the hospital.

This is an ongoing investigation. FOX59/CBS4 will update it with more information as it is made available.
