AVON, Ind. — Authorities are searching for a suspect after a man was shot at an apartment complex in Avon Wednesday night.
Deputies with the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:14 p.m. to the 200 block of Fairmount Court after receiving reports that a person was shot. While authorities have not confirmed the name of the apartment complex, Steeplechase at Shiloh Crossing apartments can be found a few blocks away from the original run.
HCSO said deputies arrived on the scene and found a 22-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to IU West Hospital for medical treatment. As of this article’s publication, the victim’s condition is unknown.
HCSO said the incident appeared to be isolated and that there was no threat to the public. Deputies do not have a suspect in custody at this time.
The shooting remains under investigation.
