INDIANAPOLIS – A man is hospitalized after being shot in an attempted carjacking on the west side on Wednesday night.
Police were called to the 4700 block of West 34th St. just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
According to IMPD Captain John Arvin, the victim was believed to have been shot following an attempted carjacking. It was unclear exactly where the shooting happened, but it was believed to be located very close to where the victim was located.
IMPD describes the suspects as two men in a black Acura. The car has “darked out” or tinted windows, a sheriff supporter license plate, and an Apple sticker on the car.
Police are checking with nearby businesses for possible surveillance video that may have captured the crime.
