It was Easter Sunday in 1990, 16-year-old Johnny Lockett was walking home from his grandmother’s house when he heard something in an alley behind a grocery store.Lockett was trying to make curfew, but he wanted to know what was that sound coming from a dumpster. “I heard crying or whining like a cat, but I realized it wasn’t a cat. It was the crying of a baby. When I opened the dumpster, I immediately saw the child lying in a half-cut 12-pack beer box. It was still wrapped in a hospital blanket. It still had the umbilical cord attached to the navel and it was just crying,” Lockett said. Lockett said he picked the baby up and the baby immediately stopped crying. He said he rushed the baby to a nearby convenience store where his stepmother worked and she called 911.Lockett is now 49 and says over the last 32 years, he’s thought about the newborn. He said the baby was given the name Peter Chance because he was given a second chance at life. Now, he wants to be reunited with the now, young man.Watch the video above for the full story.
