SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An Ireton, Iowa, passenger was injured after he fell through an unlatched party bus window on Saturday on U.S. Highway 18 near Hull, Iowa, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The man, 21, had leaned against the unlatched window and struck the roadway after falling. The bus was traveling at about 50 mph at the time, according to the sheriff’s office.
The release said he has transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls with serious injuries.
The incident was reported at 1:14 a.m., about 2 1/2 miles west of Hull.
