A 36-year-old man was fatally shot, and a 37-year-old woman was seriously wounded in a double shooting in the predawn hours Saturday on Lower West Side, Chicago police said.
Shortly. before 3 a.m., the victims were standing on the sidewalk in the 2300 block of West 18th Street when both were shot in the face. Both were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where the man was pronounced dead, and the woman listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody, and detectives were investigating.
