INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a man was critically injured in a shooting on Indy’s near east side Saturday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 1:30 a.m., officers were called to the intersection of East Jefferson Avenue and East Washington Street after receiving reports of a vehicle crashing into a fence.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
Investigators are still working to determine if the two incidents are related.
