PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) — A man was arrested in Pierre Friday after being on the run and wanted for the 2021 manslaughter death of a young female.
According to the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, Kayden Chalmers has been wanted in Pennington County since the female’s death.
He has been reported by citizens to be living on the Cheyenne River Reservation.
A tip was received by the Dakota Territory Fugitive Task Force that Chalmers was at a specific address in Pierre. The Pierre Office of the US. Marshal’s Service and the Pierre Police Department descended on the residence and successfully apprehended Chalmers without incident.
