ARGYLE, SD (KELO)– Multiple agencies in Western South Dakota were called in to help battle a fire Wednesday.

The Argyle Volunteer Fire Department posted photos of the scene to social media. A helicopter was seen dropping water on the fire.

The department says a machinery fire spread into surrounding grass. Firefighters were able to keep the fire at less than one acre.

Pringle, Custer, Hot Springs and U.S. Forest Service were some of the agencies that responded.
