SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A local name made big waves on the football field Sunday as the Vikings took on the Giants.
Andrew Van Ginkel of Rock Valley, Iowa scored a touchdown while playing on the national stage Sunday. Van Ginkel intercepted from the Giant’s Daniel Jones who intended a screen pass to wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson.
Van Ginkel is responsible for the two fastest pass interceptions in the past two seasons. He intercepted at 1.16 seconds after the snap. Last season, he intercepted a pass at 1.26 seconds after the snap
