SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — The first batch of Bills from the House and Senate for the Upcoming Legislative Session.
9 House Bills and 12 Senate Bills have been posted to the South Dakota Legislatures website.
Some standouts from the first batch of bills is HB 1001 which would update a reference to the Internal Revenue Code for purposes of higher education savings plans. and HB 1009 which would provide for the creation and use of South Dakota educational empowerment accounts, and to provide a penalty therefor.
The South Dakota Legislative Session will begin on January 14 wit the State of the State address at noon.
