SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Indications of a high profile commencement speaker are showing up in Madison Saturday morning.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is set to speak at Dakota State University’s commencement speaker and will receive an honorary degree from the university. Commencement starts at 10:30 a.m. at the campus fieldhouse.

Federal law enforcement, state law enforcement as well as law enforcement from the region are in Madison on the DSU campus. Those opposed to some of Noem’s actions on immigration and the honorary degree are also visible at around 9:10 a.m. Saturday.

Rally attendees are on Washington Avenue from 2nd Street to 9th.

Noem’s appearance has drawn support and opposition. The appearance is expect to draw rally goers who have concerns about due process and do not support some of President Donald Trump’s and Noem’s actions on immigration.
