Metro Police said they were investigating the beating of a woman who was dropped off at a hospital Saturday and later pronounced dead.
Officers responded about 5:30 p.m. Saturday to a report of a man beating a woman near Tropicana Avenue and Tamarus Street, police said.
The suspect was seen placing the victim into a vehicle and driving away, police said.
The victim was dropped off about 6:35 p.m. at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center by a woman driving the same vehicle the suspect was driving earlier, police said. The victim was later pronounced dead, police said.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
