A bicyclist was hit by a truck and critically injured Tuesday night northeast of Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.
The crash was reported about 8:50 p.m. at on Las Vegas Boulevard North, south of U.S. 93, police said.
The bicyclist was headed north when he was struck from behind, police said. The rider, a 36-year-old Canadian man, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken by helicopter to University Medical Center, police said.
The truck driver, a 27-year-old Las Vegas man, was not hurt, police said. He did not show any signs of impairment and remained at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
