RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO) — A large police presence was reported Sunday afternoon in Rapid City following reports of gunshots.
According to a news release from the Rapid City Police Department, there is a large law enforcement presence in the area of 5200 Pinedale Circle after an earlier report of gunshots heard in the area.
Police have responded to the location and have had no reports of injury related to the incident.
The person responsible for the gunshots is currently barricaded inside a nearby residence and the Pennington County Special Response Team has responded to the location to help resolve the situation in the safest manner possible.
