Barbat Holdings, a West Bloomfield-based real estate investment and management firm, has announced its acquisition of the iconic Commerce Township restaurant It’s a Matter of Taste, marking the end of an era for the lakeside dining venue. In its place, the company’s hospitality arm, Prime Concepts Detroit, will launch Aurora on the Lake, an upscale Italian restaurant and event space.
