As of Wednesday morning, Kari Lake has the lead in Arizona’s hotly contested Republican primary. Lake and Karrin Taylor Robson are separated by a little over 11,000 votes, with approximately 125,000 ballots left to count in Maricopa County alone.

Arizona’s Republican primary became a battleground in the proxy war between former President Donald Trump, who endorsed Lake and former Vice President Mike Pence, who endorsed Taylor Robson.

Lake is seen as the “grassroots” candidate, while Taylor Robson is seen as the “establishment” candidate.
