SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – South Dakotans will say goodbye to longtime Senator Tim Johnson Friday. 

KELOLAND News will broadcast a special report and the funeral of Johnson on Friday. The special report will start 10 a.m. followed by the broadcast of the funeral starting at 10:30 a.m. from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.

The broadcast will air live on KELO-TV and on KELOLAND.com. from 10 a.m. until noon.

Last week, the 77-year-old Johnson died from complications of a stroke.

Johnson impacted issues from health care to farming, military funding to water projects during his time in Washington.

KELOLAND News has several stories on Johnson’s death that include comments from former staff members, current federal lawmakers and former colleagues that served with Johnson.

Due to coverage of the funeral, viewers will be able to watch Price is Right and The Young and Restless on KELOXTRA.
