The most entertaining part of Thursday night’s contest between the Clippers and Warriors was actually the postgame interview.

Los Angeles dominated Golden State at the Staples Center in a 130-104 victory, but the scoreboard didn’t fully express how thoroughly the Clippers beat down the Warriors. LA held a 16-point lead heading into the locker room at halftime and entered the fourth quarter with a 36-point cushion, turning the final 12 minutes into garbage time.

TRADE RUMORS: Spurs bench LaMarcus Aldridge as they work to deal him

After the conclusion of the blowout, the “NBA on TNT” crew of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith caught up with Clippers star Kawhi Leonard, who had 28 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals in the win. Given the lopsided nature of the game, the panel focused on more general thoughts about the Clippers’ season.

Barkley asked Leonard about the shift from Doc Rivers to Tyronn Lue, who has guided Los Angeles to a 24-13 overall record in his first season as the Clippers’ head coach. It was a fair question, but Barkley’s phrasing left the door open for Leonard to respond in the most literal way possible.

“You guys obviously got a new coach this year,” Barkley said. “Is there anything different — not saying right or wrong — is there anything different with having Ty Lue as the head coach compared to Doc Rivers?”

“I mean, yeah, they’re two different people,” Leonard said. “They’re gonna think different. We’re happy with T-Lue being here. The guys love him. I appreciate Doc being here last year as well. Yeah, like I said, they’re two different people, so you’re obviously gonna have two different coaching strategies.”

Ah, well, I suppose he is correct. Lue and Rivers are, in fact, two different people with different coaching strategies. Moving on, then!

This is just the latest moment that solidifies Leonard as the NBA’s king of unintentional comedy. If you don’t believe me, just check out some of his greatest hits below.
