MANILA, Philippines–Justin Brownlee and June Mar Fajardo—easily two of the biggest stars in the PBA—notched respective career milestones on Friday night.
The beloved Barangay Ginebra reinforcement moved up to fourth in the league’s all-time scoring list for imports, eclipsing Lew Massey’s long-time record of 5,386 points.
Meanwhile, the six-time Most Valuable Player became the sixth player to pluck 2,000 offensive rebounds after Ramon Fernandez, Abet Guidaben, Jerry Codiñera, Asi Tualava, and Ali Peek.
Brownlee’s feat came 12 seconds into the contest at Smart Araneta Coliseum, while Fajardo’s came at the 10:45 mark of the opening quarter.
The Beermen fended off the Gin Kings, 102-99, to tie TNT at the top spot with identical 7-1 cards.
