The Biden administration’s plan to end Title 42 has been halted after a federal judge granted Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry’s request for a preliminary injunction against the disastrous Biden immigration policy.

“A federal judge just ruled to keep Title 42 in place for now,” Congressman Andy Biggs tweeted. “This is a major win for Arizona and the entire nation, but there is still much left to do. We must continue to hold the Biden regime accountable for its reckless decision making.”

“I am pleased with the judge’s decision. This ruling affirms what we already knew: Joe Biden continues to give more rights and liberties to non-citizens than he does to the American people,” said Louisiana Attorney General Landry. “His lawyers – by their own admission – stated that it was okay for 12,000 non-citizens to enter our country unvaccinated, yet the Biden regime continues forcing the COVID shot on our healthcare workers and children. Biden’s hypocrisy is further exacerbated by him sending baby formula to the border for non-citizens while American parents struggle to feed their infants.”

Title 42 is a public health policy used by both the Trump and Biden administrations to keep diseases out of the United States. Title 42 dates back to the 1940s but has been used since March, 2020 to help curb the spread of COVID-19. It has prevented over 1.7 million illegal entries into the U.S., but in April, the Centers for Disease and Control (CDC) announced it would terminate the program.

Days later, Attorney General Landry filed a lawsuit with the Attorneys General of Arizona and Missouri to protect the homeland. Last week, Judge Robert Summerhays from the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana heard oral arguments for a preliminary injunction.

“Today’s ruling is a significant win as Title 42 is one of the few policies that is actually working,” said Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich. “I’m grateful to the court for upholding the rule of law and helping maintain some level of sanity as we continue to battle the Biden-made border crisis.”
