GREEN BAY, WI – André Jacque, Republican candidate for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District, today proudly announced his endorsement by three additional Northeast Wisconsin Republican county sheriffs: Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban, Shawano County Sheriff George Lenzner, and Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig; bringing his total number of endorsements by current and former county sheriffs to eight–highlighting Jacque’s dedicated support for all law enforcement officers who keep our families safe.

The clear choice for law enforcement, Jacque had already been endorsed in his Congressional campaign by the Wisconsin Professional Police Association and Milwaukee Police Association.

“Senator Andre Jacque has a proven track record as a common sense Wisconsin legislator who absolutely supports law and order. In the many meetings I have had with Andre, it is clear that he understands he serves at the consent of the governed. Andre is truly of, by and for the people. Andre binds his legislative thought process with an appropriate understanding of our God given freedoms guaranteed by our constitution. Please join me in endorsing Andre Jacque as Wisconsin’s 8th District Congressman,” said Oconto County Sheriff Todd Skarban.

“A qualified and experienced candidate who has earned a reputation as a conservative voice in the Wisconsin legislature, with a proven track record of supporting Law Enforcement and veterans is what we need in Congress.  I proudly endorse André Jacque for Congress,” added Shawano County Sheriff George Lenzner.

“Andre Jacque has consistently demonstrated his unwavering support for law and order, as well as his steadfast commitment to law enforcement. His common-sense approach is exactly what we need to represent the people of Wisconsin in Washington. I wholeheartedly endorse Andre Jacque for Congress,” concluded Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig.

Additional current and former sheriffs endorsing Jacque are:

  • Calumet County Sheriff Brett Bowe
  • Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski
  • Former Brown County Sheriff John Gossage
  • Former Shawano County Sheriff Adam Bieber
  • Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke

“It is a great honor to have the support of those I’ve worked side by side with to ensure safe communities now and for generations to come,” said Jacque. “My close partnership with law enforcement has been critical to those efforts, and I am grateful for their help and trust in bringing robust public safety policies to Congress, including securing our border and dealing with the dual scourges of drugs and sex trafficking.”

In the Wisconsin Legislature, Jacque has been the lead author of more than a dozen laws requested by law enforcement, including truth-in-sentencing for violent crimes, closing loopholes exploited by sexual predators, and PTSD workers comp coverage for first responders.

In recognition of his efforts, Jacque has been named legislator of the year for the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police, the Wisconsin Professional Police Association (3 times), and the Wisconsin District Attorneys Association.

André Jacque is a Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District. He has served as a member of the Wisconsin Senate since 2019 and is a father of seven.
