SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Influenza numbers remain low in South Dakota through the first two months of the 2024-25 flu season, which began October 5th.

Throughout the season so far there have been 139 total cases, and 8 hospitalizations. These numbers were last updated on November 27.

New cases in the past week total 60, with one new hospitalization.

Throughout the season, 85 of the 2,191 total rapid antigen tests have come back as positive. This constitutes a 3.88% positivity rate.
