INDIANAPOLIS – A serial flasher is in jail Wednesday night, accused of exposing himself to a mother and her kids on the east side.

Police say the suspect has been arrested multiple times this month for public indecency.

“We were outside hanging out, just enjoying the beautiful day,” said Jamesha Bell. “Didn’t think they’d see a penis.”

But that’s exactly what Bell said she and her six children saw last Thursday, May 23.

Cameron Greenwood mugshot

Bell said it all happened when she and her kids were outside their house near New York and Dequincy Street, when a man, later identified as 26-year-old Cameron Greenwood, pulled down his pants and touched his genitals in front of Bell and her small children.

“I was just ready to go crazy,” she said. “I chased him from right there to Washington and Dequincy on foot. I don’t know why I didn’t get in my car. It was just out of instinct to just get him.”

Eventually, Greenwood was arrested by police. According to a probable cause affidavit, that same day, Greenwood had exposed himself at least four other times.

The reported flashing happened once while walking down 10th street, another time when he touched his genitals in the McDonald’s drive-thru, once when he exposed himself to employees at a Dairy Queen and another instance when he stood naked on the corner by a gas station.

“He’s got quite the history,” said IMPD Lt. Shane Foley. “Our officers are responding to runs and doing what they can to make arrests. In this case, we have a man who is alleged to have exposed himself to kids. The officers involved appreciated the public’s help.”

Investigators say they were only able to arrest Greenwood on a felony this time because of a previous conviction for a similar offense. And Greenwood has a lot of them.

Since 2019, court records show Greenwood has been arrested at least 47 times for crimes ranging from criminal trespassing to battery. In that same time, Greenwood was arrested at least nine times for nudity, exposing himself or public indecency.

Most of his charges were dismissed or a plea agreement was reached.
