INDIANAPOLIS – Brides to be are angry, anxious and annoyed with the sudden closure of Gretchen’s Bridal Gallery.
The north side bridal store off of 82nd Street closed without warning in recent days, leaving brides with no information on what to do next.
There’s a sign on the door informing customers the landlord has taken over the property and that drivers should drop off any shipments to the nearby alterations store not affiliated with Gretchen’s.
One bride, Risha Dow, said she picked out her gown in March. Her mom, Chasta Rodgers, paid nearly $3300 in full. But the family says the dress distributor told them it never received payment from the store’s owner.
Rodgers said, “I worked so hard and so proud that I was giving my daughter the wedding she deserves and wants something she dreamed of her entire life.”
FOX59/CBS4 has tried to contact owner Gretchen Reynolds and her lawyers, but we have not heard back. The website has been inactive since Wednesday.
