INDIANAPOLIS — Starting Thursday evening, officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation said that there will be lane restrictions and ramp closures on I-465 westbound near Carmel.
According to a news release from INDOT, crews will reduce I-465 westbound to a single lane between River Rd. and U.S. 31 starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday and through 6 a.m. on Friday. During this time, the northbound and southbound ramps from Keystone Ave. to I-465 westbound will be closed.
At around 8 p.m. on Friday, and through 6 a.m. on Monday, crews will be working to complete the same work, causing the need for INDOT to reduce I-465 westbound to a single lane between River Rd. and U.S. 31. The northbound and southbound Keystone Ave. ramps to I-465 westbound will also remain closed at that time.
The release said the restrictions will allow crews to safely complete pavement restoration, as well as bridge deck patching and joint repairs.
“INDOT reminds drivers to consider worker safety by slowing down, using caution and avoiding distractions when traveling in and near work zones,” the release said. “All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.”
