INDIANAPOLIS — On National Voter Registration Day, Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales announced that more than 90% of eligible Hoosiers are registered to vote in November’s general election.

According to a news release from the Indiana Secretary of State’s office, Morales said that the state’s voter registration rate is continuing to grow prior to the general election on Nov. 5. As of Tuesday, more than 4.7 million Indiana residents are registered to vote.

“As Chief Election Officer, I work tirelessly every day to encourage every eligible Hoosier to register to vote,” Morales said in the release. “With today being National Voter Registration Day, I want to remind Hoosiers to check and make sure they are registered.  It’s especially exciting to see our younger generation getting involved in the election process. We are less than 50 days away from the General Election and now is the time to make sure you are registered.”

According to the Indiana Secretary of State’s office, Hoosiers are able to register to vote for the 2024 General Election through Oct. 7. Residents are able to check or update their voter registration status or register to vote on the Indiana Voters website.
