INDIANAPOLIS — Police found a woman dead inside a home on the south side of Indianapolis Monday morning.
According to a press release, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were sent to the 7800 block of Ella Dobbs Lane — which is located off East Stop 11 Road — around 5:43 a.m. to start a death investigation. When police arrived at the scene, they found a deceased adult female inside a residence.
Police reported that the woman appeared to have injuries consistent with trauma. Medics officially pronounced the woman dead shortly after they arrived at the scene.
IMPD homicide detectives and the Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to the scene to investigate the woman’s death. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will also help IMPD determine the woman’s exact manner and cause of death.
MCCO indicated that it will publicly identify the decedent once her family has been properly notified of her death.
