INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed on Indy’s east side Friday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 4800 block of East Michigan Street on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located a person in an apartment with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. They were pronounced deceased on scene.
Investigators say officers made forced entry into the apartment and located the person inside of the apartment.
No other information was provided.
