INDIANAPOLIS — A person was critically injured in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Tuesday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of East 34th Street and North Emerson Avenue around 11:23 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD confirmed that the victim is currently in critical condition.
Police have not publicly identified any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the shooting. As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the shooting or the circumstances that led to it had been made available.
