INDIANAPOLIS — Police have launched a death investigation on the near north side of Indianapolis.
A pair of public police reports indicate IMPD officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West 38th Street just before 8:20 p.m. to start a death investigation. Police found a deceased adult female in an apartment after they arrived at the scene.
One of the reports confirms that the Marion County Coroner’s Office and IMPD homicide investigators responded to the scene. The other report indicates police served an arrest warrant in the same apartment unit they found the woman dead in.
Police reports show that the person IMPD detained during its investigation was an adult male. Neither of the reports filed Saturday night indicate exactly what the man was arrested for.
In compliance with its own policies, FOX59 and CBS4 will not name the decedent until the coroner has officially identified her. FOX59 and CBS4 won’t name the man who was arrested until police announce what he has been preliminarily charged with.
As of this article’s publication, no additional information on police’s investigation had been made available.
