INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is embracing the thousands of Taylor Swift fans that have traveled to the Circle City for “The Eras Tour” this weekend.
The agency’s officers in downtown Indianapolis have been trading friendship bracelets with Swifties all weekend. In a post on X, IMPD Chief Chris Bailey demonstrated some of the moments he and his officers have shared with Swifties this weekend:
Even some of the horses IMPD uses for mounted patrol were wearing friendship bracelets:
In addition to IMPD’s officers and horses, Lucas Oil Stadium has also been adorned with friendship bracelets at certain points this weekend. The bracelets have not been a permanent fixture on the stadium, however, as high winds have forced event personnel to take them down to prevent damage.
IMPD will be out trading friendship bracelets with Swifites for the rest of the weekend. On Saturday afternoon, the agency posted more video of its officers trading bracelets on X.
Swift’s second “Eras Tour” show in Indianapolis is already underway. Her final performance in the Circle City will begin Sunday night at 7 p.m.
In addition to the friendship bracelets it has traded, IMPD has also provided safety tips and traffic guidance for Swifties.
