INDIANAPOLIS — An officers vehicle was struck while responding to a large fight on the near north side of Indianapolis, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Department.
Officers from IMPD North District were dispatched on Thursday at approximately 4:30 p.m. to the area of W 22nd St. and N Illinois St. on a report of a fight between multiple adults.
Upon arrival to the scene, an officer’s vehicle was struck by a citizen who was reportedly uninvolved with the incident.
The IMPD officer was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and was reported to be in good condition. The citizen involved in the collision was not injured.
Officials arrested two individuals who were allegedly involved in the fight, one adult male and one adult female, respectively.
Charges listed in police reports include invasion of privacy, battery, and intimidation. All charges listed are classified as misdemeanors.
No weapons were involved in the reported fight.
