INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were shot on the northeast side of Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 10000 block of East 42nd Street around 1:30 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located two victims with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD reported that both victims were “awake and breathing” when officers found them. Police have not provided any further updates on the victims’ statuses.
Law enforcement has not yet indicated whether the victims shot each other or if additional parties were involved in the incident. The age of the victims is also unknown at this time.
As of 3:34 p.m. Saturday, IMPD had not provided any additional information on the incident.
