INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were shot on the near southeast side of Indianapolis Monday night.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the 2100 block of Wagner Lane — which is located near the intersection of East Raymond Street and South Sherman Drive — around 11:38 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located two victims with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

IMPD reported that both victims were “awake and breathing” when officers found them. Police did not provide any further updates on the conditions of the injured individuals.

At least five people were shot across the Circle City Monday evening, counting the victims involved in the incident on Wagner Lane. First, a man was shot and killed at an east side gas station around 6 p.m. Then, a juvenile was shot on the northeast side of the city at approximately 7:40 p.m. IMPD also found a walk-in person shot at Community North Hospital around 7:41 p.m.
