INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after one person was injured in a shooting early Tuesday morning on Indy’s near east side.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just after 5 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of North Forest Avenue on the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located the person with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Police say the victim was “awake and breathing” at last check.
The incident remains under investigation.
