INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a shooting left one person dead and another critically injured on the far east side of Indianapolis Thursday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 6:56 p.m. to the 2900 block of Mitthoefer Road in response to reports that a person had been shot in the area.
IMPD said officers arrived and found two victims at the scene, with one being pronounced dead and the other being transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
No other information was immediately available.
