INDIANAPOLIS — A person was critically injured in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 9000 block of East 38th Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD has confirmed that the victim was in critical condition as of 5:30 p.m.
Police have not publicly identified any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the shooting. As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the shooting — or the events that led to it — had been made available.
