SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — An arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing that happened Monday in Hull, Iowa.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the intersection of 5th Street and Division Street for reports of a disturbance.

On scene, authorities found three people who were involved in the disturbance. Two of those people had stab wounds.

The two victims were taken to the hospital. The other person involved in the disturbance, 28-year-old Jorge Gomez Badilio, of Hull, was arrested.

Authorities say they were later called to a residence at 1429 Division Street, close to where the original incident had happened, for a report of a fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish a fire that they say appeared to have started in a bedroom of the home and the fire may have been intentionally started by Badilio before the incident.

Badilio was taken to Sioux County Jail where he was charged with two counts of attempted murder, first-degree burglary, and second-degree arson along with other charges.
