One of the biggest NFL Draft mysteries may have been solved.

DeVonta Smith’s height and weight have been a subject of skepticism during the pre-draft cycle. While the Heisman-winning wide receiver had a dominant season at Alabama, some looked at his frame, height and weight and questioned whether he’s a true top-10 prospect.

With the NFL holding medical exams earlier in the month for the 2021 draft, Smith’s weight was revealed, and it was more than a bit lower than what he was listed at while at ‘Bama.

Here’s what was reported:

How much does DeVonta Smith Weigh?

While Smith didn’t measure in at the Alabama pro day, SI’s Albert Breer is reporting that Smith has measured in at 6 feet and 166 pounds after medical examines earlier in April.

For comparison, Alabama’s athletic department had Smith listed at 6-1, 175 pounds.

The numbers, especially the weight, come off as stunningly light, with the 166-pound mark especially so. While Smith, a burner, won’t have to worry about taking too many hits on NFL Sundays, his slender frame has some concerned about his long-term durability as a wideout.

The average height and weight of an NFL wide receiver comes in around 6-0, 200 pounds.
