GOP U.S. Senate candidate Eric Hovde released a new TV ad in which he gets emotional while talking about his MS diagnosis at 27.

Hovde previously announced a $2 million media buy that began after the Aug. 13 primary. According to AdImpact, the new ad is running statewide.

In the spot, Hovde says he quickly realized after his diagnosis “what’s the most important things in life, family, friendships, love, helping other people” as he gets emotional and pauses.

“It makes you much more empathetic and compassionate to those that are struggling and suffering,” Hovde says before closing the spot saying he wanted to achieve his goals, but also use his resources to “save as many children as I possibly could.”
