On Friday, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs announced that she is refusing to assist the Trump administration as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conduct arrests of illegal aliens in the state.
“We’re not going to use state resources to go into communities and round up people that aren’t causing harm,” said Hobbs, a Democrat, during a public relations event at a childcare center in Phoenix.
Hobbs’ comments drew swift reaction from Republicans, who support President Trump’s promise to deport illegal aliens who have taken advantage of the broken immigration system. Despite claims that ICE agents will arrest innocent adults and children, the administration has made it clear it is targeting the “worst first” for deportation.

ICE agents have “arrested a number of child sex offenders, as well as gang members and other criminals, among the more than 530 illegal immigrants it caught on another day of the Trump-era mass deportation campaign,” according to FOX News.
“The Biden Administration‘s disastrous policies are dead under President Trump, but Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is openly defying the law and the will of Arizonans by refusing to deport illegal immigrants. This isn’t leadership – it’s reckless lawlessness. The people of Arizona voted overwhelmingly for America First, not open borders and dangerous policies. If Hobbs continues to betray our state, every consequence of her actions fall squarely on her. As your Congressman, I will fight relentlessly to defend Arizona and ensure our state remains safe, while helping President Trump Make America Safe Again,” tweeted Congressman Abe Hamadeh.

According to KTAR, Hobbs said Friday she is monitoring the situation but isn’t aware of any confirmed Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in Arizona yet.
President Trump signed numerous Executive Orders within hours of taking office to secure the borders, fulfilling his campaign promises to stop the abuse of the asylum and parole laws, and undermined our legal immigration system.
According to FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform), Trump issued directives to various government agencies to achieve his secure border policy goals, “such as resuming the Migrant Protection Protocols (commonly referred to as Remain in Mexico); ending abuse of the CBP One mobile application to facilitate illegal aliens’ entry into the country; and terminating categorical parole programs, such as the unlawful CHNV program. The Executive Order also requires the Attorney General and DHS Secretary to take action to comply with the DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005, and for the DHS Secretary to verify claimed family relationships. Finally, the Order requires the Attorney General and DHS Secretary to prioritize prosecutions for crimes relating to our borders, including human trafficking and smuggling.”
The White House Twitter account released a photo of illegal aliens boarding a flight to Guatemala.

“U.S. military aircraft carried out two deportation flights to Guatemala on Thursday evening at about the same time that the first ground troops arrived at the southern border as part of the Trump administration’s use of military troops to help Customs and Border Protection personnel,” reported ABC News.
