The Tennessee Titans lost their 2024 season opener to the Chicago Bears on the road at Soldier Field. They started the game strong, taking a 17-3 lead into the locker room at halftime. They looked good in the first half, although play-calling was somewhat questionable. They moved the ball well and controlled time of possession.
The Bears came out of the locker room in the second half as if the entire first half never happened. It wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows, but they managed to score 21 unanswered points to come back and win the game. Rookie quarterback Caleb Wiliams became the first quarterback selected with the top pick to win his debut in a season opener since David Carr in 2002.
