The significance of Black History Month is so broad and rich, it could be observed all year without even scratching the surface. And while many people are taking time this month to celebrate figures in the Black community, preparing recipes from Black food bloggers, and supporting organizations doing work in the areas of racial justice and equity, we’d be remiss to forget about a big reason you, reader, might find yourself here. That is, seeking inspiration on your quest to find new and unique items to add to your home and kitchen.

So if you’re looking to spend your dollars thoughtfully right now, we’ve rounded up a handful of retailers that are using their platforms to champion Black-owned businesses, many of which donate a portion of their sales to community-based initiatives. Select sites even have dedicated Black History Month storefronts to make navigating them easier. Below, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite major retailers, and if we missed any, we’d love for you to share your recommendations in the comments section below!
