HENRY, S.D. (KELO) — An investigation into hazing and bullying in the Henry School District is actively ongoing.
The school district says multiple students violated policy and are being disciplined. The Codington County Sheriff’s Office tells us they’re also investigating.
KELOLAND’s Summer Raderschadt was able to sit down with three 7th-grade boys who say they were repeatedly beaten by older students on a school bus.
“And there’s been incidents that they have handed us garbage to make us walk up to the front of the bus and throw it away for them. And on our way back to the back of the bus, they loosened the seat belts all the way and hit us multiple times in the legs, backs, thighs everywhere,” said Tieson Jenner.
Coming up Thursday night at 6, we’re going to hear from the boys’ mothers about how they finally got their sons to tell them what was happening and what they hope to accomplish by speaking publicly.
